On-Farm Agricultural Residuals Composting Workshop September 21 and 22, 2010 Bio-Environmental Engineering Centre, AgriTech Park Bible Hill, Nova Scotia
The Innovative Waste Management Research Program, NSAC presents a two-day composting workshop. The sessions will include technical information and hands-on training for on-farm/on-site composting of agricultural residuals. A special session focusing on mortality composting will also be included. We will be featuring guest presenters, including Prof. Mark Hutchinson from the University of Maine Compost School.
The objectives of this workshop are to provide practical training and information for managing agricultural residuals and by-products on-farm or on-site. In addition, we want to provide an opportunity for producers and agricultural or agricultural products managers to establish new networks and exchange information. The event is being delivered through the Innovative Waste Management Research Program, Department of Engineering at NSAC with support from the Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture.
